All athletes must compete within their own age group. Note: Masters compete as seniors for the team competition, whilst retaining individual medals within their age group categories.
All age groups are as per UKA rules on Cross-country – rule 507, apart from Masters who need to be over 40 on the day of competition.
Numbers will be available on the day and will differentiate the two counties. These must, in accordance with UKA rules, be worn as issued, and any breach of this rule (18, 1) will render the offending athlete liable to disqualification. i.e. no mutilation, cutting down etc. Please note that official club colours must be worn.
County Qualification must be entered for all athletes, as per rule 9 and 4 (1) (UKA rules). County Qualification may be acquired by;
A) Birth (See also Rule 4(1)).
B) By 9 months continuous bona fide residence in the County immediately prior to the date of the competition. (This is retained until the athlete has both obtained residential qualification for another County and competed in that other Counties’ championship or for their team.)
C) By 9 months service in a unit of HM Forces stationed in the County.
Worcestershire is defined by the pre 1974 boundary and includes parts of Birmingham.
